[ WHAT ATLAS ENGINE IS ]

Your place. Your knowledge. One custom visitor app. Built and delivered by SparkAtlas.

Your team knows which locations matter and what visitors should learn there. SparkAtlas turns that knowledge into a branded, location-aware virtual tour that guides visitors across your venue and delivers each piece of content at the place where it has the most meaning.

How Atlas works

From venue knowledge to an on-site virtual guide.

A straightforward collaboration turns your existing locations and interpretive material into a complete visitor experience.

01

You provide the place and its content

Share your point-of-interest locations, routes, venue identity, and interpretive material, including text, images, audio, or video.

02

SparkAtlas builds your tour app

We use Atlas Engine to create a virtual tour tailored to your venue, content, visitor goals, and brand.

03

Visitors open it on their phones

The finished experience can run in a mobile browser with no installation required, or be delivered as an installed mobile app.

04

The real-world location triggers the content

As visitors physically approach a point of interest, Atlas automatically delivers the text or multimedia connected to that place.

The value for visitors

More than directions. A richer way to experience your site.

Atlas helps visitors feel guided, engaged, and connected to the history and meaning of each place.

01

Create a more immersive visit

Turn a self-guided walk into a responsive experience that connects the visitor, the digital guide, and the physical site.

02

Bring site history into its real setting

Help visitors understand the people, events, culture, and meaning behind a place while they are standing there.

03

Guide visitors through a richer journey

Use routes, progress, and timely content to reveal more of the venue and make every stop easier to discover and understand.

Designed around real venues

One engine. Five distinct visitor contexts.

The same location-aware foundation adapts to different places, audiences, content, and operational goals.

01

Parks & nature

Help visitors find viewpoints, trails, facilities, ecological features, and lesser-known corners without adding more signs to the landscape.

02

Museums & galleries

Extend interpretation beyond the label with audio, imagery, video, accessibility options, and self-guided routes for different interests.

03

Tourism teams

Connect landmarks and local businesses into branded itineraries that spread visits across a district and make exploration feel effortless.

04

Campuses

Guide prospective students, new arrivals, and guests to important buildings while adding useful context at every stop.

05

Festivals & events

Turn a temporary footprint into a clear digital experience with stages, vendors, attractions, schedules, and timely visitor guidance.

What visitors experience

A virtual guide that responds to where they are.

Visitors open the tour, follow the route, and receive each story when they physically reach its point of interest. Select a moment to follow this Stanley Park example.

The engine underneath

The software foundation behind every custom tour.

Atlas provides the reusable mapping, geolocation, content delivery, and mobile experience. SparkAtlas configures that foundation around each client venue instead of rebuilding the same technology from scratch for every project.

01 / CUSTOM APP

Tailored to each venue

Combine your brand, map, routes, points of interest, and visitor priorities in an experience built specifically for your site.

02 / LOCATION

Content triggered by proximity

Connect each point of interest to an arrival area, then serve the associated experience when a visitor physically approaches it.

03 / INTERPRETATION

Text and multimedia storytelling

Present history and interpretive material through text, imagery, audio, video, prompts, and useful links.

04 / DELIVERY

Browser or installed app

Make the tour available through a visitor's mobile browser, or package it as an installed app when the project calls for one.

The origin

Proven through play. Rebuilt for practical places.

Atlas Engine grew out of Gatekeepers, SparkAtlas's location-based outdoor game. Building a real product around waypoints, live movement, encounters, and progression revealed a much broader platform: one that can help any place become a guided interactive experience.
